PREPARING TOMORROW’S LEADERS TODAY

HIGHLIGHTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Riley Dumont was featured in an exclusive Apple TV+ Documentary by Warner Brothers entitled, “Becoming You” which focuses on exploring child development with different children around the world. They documented her Spelling Bee journey as a 5 year old contestant. She was the ONLY student who was documented from Florida in this series and we are both excited and proud to be the ONLY camp involved.

Congratulations to Zona Black for being a 3rd Place Winner in the county wide Virtual Spelling Bee. We have had one of our campers place as a finalist at the Super Spelling Bee for the third consecutive year!!!

We transformed our camp and offered a FULLY virtual Summer Camp program due to COVID-19 and did amazing!!!! Tons of hard work and planning went into this great accomplishment to provide a safe and fun experience for children. Some of the virtua camp highlights include “live” zoom Academic Sessions with certified teachers, virtual cooking, virtual basketball, virtual soccer, virtual dance, virtual arts and crafts and more. We also offered delivery for the weekly camp supply kits and did drive thru events such as Pizza night, Kona Ice, and Cold Stone.

CBS News Channel 12 featured us on all their major platforms for the great work Preparing Leaders has been doing in the community. We were contacted in March of 2019 about this superb recognition.

We are so pleased to announce our very own Jay’Shawn Talmadge from our West Riviera site was a Spelling Bee Finalist for the secondary division. He was the 2nd Place winner for the middle school category!!!

Preparing Leaders was featured in PB Parenting on their “Camp Spotlight” for March 2019 newletter. We are honored that we were selected us for their newsletter.

We are so excited that our very own camper, Taniyah Fowler, was a finalist at the 4th Annual Super Spelling Bee. She was a participant at our South Bay summer camp site. She received a $100 cash prize and certificate from us for her great accomplishment. We are so proud of her!

2nd place Jamathon winner is our Belle Glade site, Lake Shore Middle, under the leadership of our fabulous Director Ms. Tamica Smith ? Lakeshore Middle Summer camp site wonthis competitive dance competition that took place at the South Florida Fairgrounds.

Our campers were featured on the cover of the Art & Culture Educational Guide 2017-2018 pamphlet from the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County Arts Education showcasing their amazing work.
